Our Process

A delivery process you can see

From idea to a maintained, improving system. The depth of each stage adapts to the project's complexity and risk — a small site needs less ceremony than a multi-tenant platform.

At a glance

Four steps, start to launch

  1. 01

    Discover

We understand the business requirements, users and constraints before any code is written.

  2. 02

    Design

We plan the architecture, data model and user experience, and validate it with prototypes.

  3. 03

    Develop

We build maintainable software in reviewed increments, with version control and documentation.

  4. 04

    Test & Launch

We validate with automated and manual testing, deploy safely and provide ongoing support.

In detail

The full delivery workflow

Each stage has a clear purpose, activities, outputs and tools.

01

Discovery, requirements & scope

Understand the problem, the users and the constraints before writing any code, so we build the right thing.

Activities

  • Stakeholder interviews and workshops
  • Defining goals, success metrics and scope
  • Identifying risks, assumptions and dependencies

Outputs

  • Requirements summary and scope definition
  • Prioritized feature list
  • Initial risk and assumption log

Tools

  • Notion / Confluence
  • Miro / FigJam
  • Issue trackers
02

Architecture, planning & database design

Choose an architecture and data model that fit the product's complexity, scale and risk profile.

Activities

  • System and component architecture
  • Data modelling and schema design
  • Technology selection and estimation

Outputs

  • Architecture diagram and decisions
  • Database schema and data flow
  • Delivery plan and milestones

Tools

  • draw.io / Excalidraw
  • ERD tools
  • ADRs (decision records)
03

UI/UX, wireframes, prototypes & design system

Design accessible, consistent interfaces and validate them before expensive development begins.

Activities

  • Wireframing and interactive prototypes
  • Visual design and design-system components
  • Accessibility and usability checks

Outputs

  • Approved wireframes and prototypes
  • Reusable design system
  • Design specifications and assets

Tools

  • Figma
  • Design tokens
  • Accessibility checklists
04

Development, version control, reviews & docs

Build features in small, reviewed increments with clear history and documentation.

Activities

  • Feature development in short iterations
  • Pull requests and peer code reviews
  • Inline and reference documentation

Outputs

  • Reviewed, version-controlled code
  • Developer and API documentation
  • Incremental, demoable builds

Tools

  • Git & pull requests
  • Linters & formatters
  • Storybook / API docs
05

Automated & manual testing (incl. security)

Verify behaviour, catch regressions and probe for common vulnerabilities before release.

Activities

  • Unit, integration and end-to-end tests
  • Manual exploratory and regression testing
  • Security testing against common risks

Outputs

  • Automated test suites and reports
  • Defect reports and fixes
  • Risk-based security findings

Tools

  • JUnit / Mockito
  • Playwright
  • Postman
  • OWASP-based checks
06

Staging, release verification & rollback

Validate the release in a production-like environment and prepare a safe path back if needed.

Activities

  • Deploy to staging and verify
  • Release checklist and sign-off
  • Rollback and recovery planning

Outputs

  • Verified staging release
  • Deployment runbook
  • Documented rollback plan

Tools

  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Docker
  • Nginx
  • Cloud hosting
07

Monitoring, maintenance & improvement

Keep the product healthy in production and improve it based on real usage and feedback.

Activities

  • Monitoring, logging and alerting
  • Defect resolution and patching
  • Continuous improvement and iteration

Outputs

  • Operational dashboards and alerts
  • Maintenance and patch cadence
  • Prioritized improvement backlog

Tools

  • Monitoring & logging
  • Dependency scanning
  • Issue trackers

Adapted to complexity and risk

Not every project needs every activity. We scale the process up for higher-risk, higher-complexity systems (multi-tenant SaaS, payments, sensitive data) and keep it lean for smaller, lower-risk work. The stages stay the same; the depth changes.
